Meet the Staff
The staff of Printy Funeral Home hosts the finest in funeral assistants.

EvanPrinty
The oldest son of the Printys, Evan, assists with funerals and visitations and serves as the technology professional for the funeral home. He enjoys playing tennis and guitar. He is an active member of the Burnside Christian Church where he serves in the audio/video department and plays guitar and bass for the worship ministry. He plans to enroll in the Mortuary Science program at Carl Sandburg College.

William Printy
The second son of the Printys, William, assists with funerals and visitations and helps in the general maintenance of the funeral home. William enjoys playing tennis, golf, and chess. He also competes nationally in Tang Soo Do. He is an active member of the Burnside Christian Church and plans to pursue his mortuary science degree.

Bruce LeathemBruce Leathem
Licensed funeral director and previous owner of Leathem Funeral Home in Carthage, Bruce serves as consultant to the staff with over 30 years of experience in funeral service.  Bruce is a 1970 graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in technology and Mortuary Science.  He is also an elder in the First United Presbyterian Church in Carthage and a volunteer at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.  He and his wife Jane live in Carthage and have three grandchildren.

Dick Reed
A friend of Jim for over 20 years, Mr. Reed worked many years as a banker in Carthage and as Vice Principal and Assistant Athletic Director at Carthage High School. In addition to serving families at the funeral home, he still teaches and mentors students at the Hancock County Academy in Carthage and works at the Kibbe Museum also in Carthage. He and his wife, Tena, have 7 grandchildren. Printy Funeral Home has been blessed with his service for ten years.

Larry Vance
Printy Funeral Home has been blessed with Mr. Vance for over eight years. Well known throughout Hancock County because of his many years of service with the Hancock County Road Department, Mr. Vance is the right hand of Printy Funeral Home. In addition to his service at the funeral home, Larry trains Belgian Horses and is an active member the United Methodist Church in Carthage. Mr. Vance also provides the grave opening services for Printy Funeral Home. Larry and his wife, Judy, have many, many grandchildren!

Emmett Kelly
A successful businessman in Chicago, Emmett moved to Carthage after his retirement to be closer to his daughter. Emmett is also a horseman and works at the Kibbe Museum in Carthage.
