Christine “Chris” Rosson, 64, of Hamilton, passed away at 12:33 pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at North Adams Home in Mendon, Illinois.
Christine was born on June 23, 1954, in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Glenn and Mary (Booth) Peikett. She graduated from Payson-Seymour High School in 1972 and worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for many years at Supreme Swine Nutrition. On December 2, 1972, she was united in marriage to Harold Rosson in Peoria, Illinois. They were later divorced. When she wasn’t working, Christine enjoyed traveling around the United States, fishing, gardening, mushroom hunting, horseback riding and nurturing her cats. She also enjoyed raising Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and livestock and was a “Porkette” with the Hancock County Pork Producers. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Christine is survived by her son Scott (Amie) Rosson of Nauvoo, Illinois; her step-son Randy (Kim) Rosson of Baldwin, Missouri; six grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Ashley, Owen, Hope, Sarah and Jacob; two brothers: Glenn Peikett, Jr. of Monroe City, Missouri; and Richard (Roxanne) Peikett of Sutter, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Christine is preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation celebrating Christine’s life will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton, Illinois.
