Dewey R. Lindsey, 88, of Bowen, passed away at 1:20 A.M. early Sunday morning, September 16, 2018 at the Golden Good Shepherd Home in Golden, Illinois.
Dewey was born February 7, 1930, the son of Dewey and Valuria (Miller) Lindsey in Spencer County, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1953. He and his wife Joy were married on May 20, 1972. She preceded him in death. Dewey was a pipefitter for many years and helped build nuclear power plants. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and also a Shriner.
Dewey is survived by nieces and nephews, Randy (Cathy) Van Hove, Cheryl Huls, Terry (Jim) Goff, Karen (Richard) Ancelet, Steve (Paula) Clark, Donald, Larry and Tony Clark, Jeffrey Van Hove, Joseph Van Hove, Samantha Hamman; a sister-in-law, Ruth Lindsey; close friend and neighbor, Keith (Judy) Klingler and his dog, Payton.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
