Donald Terry Gordon, 70, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at his home in Hamilton.
Don was born on March 28, 1948, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Donald P. and Betty I. (Crabill) Gordon. On March 28, 1969, he was united in marriage to Linda Malone of Keokuk, Iowa.
Don was a lifelong truck driver and drove for several companies during his career, most recently for R+L Carriers in Kansas City, Missouri, where he received several commendations for his hard work. When he wasn’t on the road, Don loved being outdoors, spending time with his friends and family and working with his hands. He was mechanically inclined and often worked on his own cars and trucks.
Don is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Linda Gordon of Hamilton, Illinois; his mother Betty (Crabill) Gordon; his son Donnie (Shonda) Gordon, of Springfield, Missouri; his four brothers: Michael (Cindy) Gordon of Oregon, Gary (Dixie) Gordon of Illinois, Stephen (Marianna) Gordon of California, and Greg Gordon of California; two sisters: Gwen Gordon of California and Teresa Bouchard of Illinois; six grandchildren: Don, Joe, Ryan, Michael, Malinda, and Kristopher; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Don was preceded in death by his daughter Terri Jo, his father Donald, his grandson Raymond and brother-in-law Bill.
Funeral services will be held at 5 pm on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 to 5 pm at the funeral home directly before the service.
