Dorothy Evelyn Londrie, 91, of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Montebello Healthcare Center in Hamilton.
Dorothy was born on February 20, 1927, in Hamilton, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Mildred (Daugherty) Evans. On June 19, 1951, she was united in marriage to Ercell Londrie in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2000. A member of Hamilton United Methodist Church for many years, Dorothy worked at the shoe factory in Keokuk, the Hamilton Drug Store and the Hamilton Grocery Store before becoming a homemaker. She also served as a Girl Scout Brownie leader and a Cub Scout den mother for many years.
Dorothy is survived by her son Larry of Hamilton; two daughters: Chris and family of Denton, Texas; and Patty and family of Farmington, New Mexico; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Dorothy’s life will be celebrated with a graveside service at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
