Ila Bachman Obituary

Ila G. Bachman, 98, of Carthage, formerly of Elvaston, passed away at Memorial Hospital in Carthage on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 5:00 A.M.

Ila was born May 14, 1920, in Disco, Illinois, the daughter of Marion and Ella (Rice) Blythe. After graduation from high school she went on to three years of nursing school and became a Registered Nurse. She worked as a nurse for 8 years. On February 3, 1943, she was united in marriage to Junius Bachman in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1965. Ila was a member of the Elvaston Community Church.

Ila is survived by two sons, Larry (Jolane) Bachman of Hamilton and Keith (Pam) Bachman of Tucson, Arizona; three grandsons; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Junius; and three sisters, Evelyn Blythe, Betty Mosley and Elsie Ewing.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Elvaston Cemetery in Elvaston, Illinois. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
