Janice Dade

Janice Dade, 67, of Carthage, passed away at 2:06 A.M. Sunday morning, January 13, 2019 at Lexington Square Care Center in Keokuk, Iowa.

Janice was born January 27, 1951, the daughter of Walter James Cecil and Muzzella (Clay) Dade in Quincy, Illinois.  She grew up in Canton, Missouri, graduating from Canton High School.  She then went on to receive her CNA and cosmetology certifications.  Janice had worked as a CNA at Montebello Care Center in Hamilton for many years.  She had also worked at BTR in Keokuk and Methode Electronics in Carthage.  She enjoyed western movies, crossword puzzles and especially her family.  She loved helping with her grandchildren.

Janice is survived by a daughter, Dawn Dade, of Vancouver, Washington; her son, Derron (Kellie Frey) Douglas of Carthage; four grandchildren, Dailynn Dade, Malachi Douglas, Kyren Douglas and Zoey Asbury-Frey; four great grandchildren, Kegan Damico, Traeveon Kindhart and Brodie Bruner and Nolan Wixom; four brothers, Walter Dade, Jr. of Keokuk, Iowa; Donald (Julie) Dade of Hamilton, Illinois, Eric Dade of Iowa City, Iowa; and Bruce (Theresa) Dade of Antioch, Illinois, and two sisters, Joan (Floyd) Jackson of Park City, Illinois; and Barbara Jean Tate of Burlington, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a great grandson, Adian Dade; and a sister-in-law, Flossie Dade.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Keokuk, Iowa, with burial to follow in the Monticello Cemetery in Monticello, Missouri.  Visitation will be held from 5:30 – 8:30 P.M. Friday evening at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Keokuk. Memorials may be directed to the family.  Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
