Leonard (Vince) Vincent Starr, 84, of Quincy, formerly of Nauvoo, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019, at his home in Quincy.
Vince was born on September 12, 1934, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Barney and Myrna (Bolton) Starr. On April 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Marion Kay Bohnenkamp at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Madison, Iowa. She survives. Vince was member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Quincy and a former member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo.
Vince is survived by his wife Marion Kay Starr of Quincy; two daughters: Debra Ann (John) Greco of Denver, Colorado; and Janet McMillen of Carthage, Illinois; and two sons: Ricky (Heather) Starr of Evansville, Indiana; and Kenny (Angel) Starr of LaGrange, Missouri. Vince is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Vince is preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Shelly Boyles and three brothers: Joe, Richard and Ray.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton, with Fr. Aaron Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Nauvoo.
Memorials may be directed to St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Quincy.
