Margaret Louise Reuter, 93, of Warsaw, passed away Wednesday morning September 25, 2019 at 10:59 A.M. at the Keokuk Area Hospital.
Margaret was born October 3, 1925, the daughter of Charley and Anna (Larsen) Reuter in Warsaw. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1943 and began working at Osgood Manufacturing in Warsaw the day after graduation. She worked many years for Dr. Kappmeyer in Hamilton until his retirement. She then served as the Warsaw City Clerk for several years. Margaret was a very active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw serving many capacities over the years. She also active in R.S.V.P. and the Senior Citizen’s Center. She loved sewing and was very accomplished and she also enjoyed gardening. Her greatest loves were family and Christmas. Margaret would provide hundreds of presents and cards for well over a hundred of her family members over several generations. She also remembered her family with birthday and special occasion cards during the year.
Margaret is survived by a sister-in-law, Donna Reuter of Freeport, Illinois; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul and Carl; and three sisters, Charlotte Reuter, Cora Frazer and Luella Nagel.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning, September 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw with burial to follow in the Lutheran Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.m. until time of services at 11:00 at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw. Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw. Printy Funeral Home of Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
