R. Edra Lee-Cossey

R. Edra Lee-Cossey, 93, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Legacy Heights Nursing Home in Russellville.

Edra was born on July 24, 1925, in Hector, Arkansas, the daughter of James Riley and Dovie (Duvall) Coffman. She loved going to church, singing, teaching Sunday school, and friends and family. She retired as manager from Dollar General, where she worked for many years.

Edra is survived by three sons: Jim (Lee) Shearer, Richard (Margaret) Shearer and Steve (Stacy) Lee; four daughters: Sandy Lucas, Regina (Robert) Rowe, Christina (Donnie) Mack and Tammy (Kevin) Hardy; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edra is preceded in death by her father and mother, her step-father Elmer Miller, three husbands: Harry Shearer, Winfred Lee and Jesse Cossey; her beloved son Tom Shearer; two grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters.

Edra’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 1 pm on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton, with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday directly before the service.
