Richard W. Brenenstall, 92, of Elvaston, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 10:50 A.M. at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Richard was born April 1, 1926, the son of Lester and Bessie (Welty) Brenenstall in Peoria, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. On April 6, 1978, he was united in marriage to Bessie Spurgetis in Peoria, Illinois. He had worked for the City of Peoria, the City of Carthage, and after retiring, was a part time area route driver for Meals on Wheels throughout Hancock County.
Richard is survived by his Wife Bessie Brenenstall, of Elvaston; two children, Linda (Robert) Rausch of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Randy (Sue) Brenenstall of Peoria.
He was preceded in Death by two sons, Michael and David Brenenstall; and three sisters, Hazel, Elizabeth, and Roberta
Richard enjoyed camping and traveling whether it be in a Tent or an RV, and he enjoyed playing Bingo.
A Loving, Thoughtful, Devoted Husband, with an Infectious Smile that brought Joy to all who met him - He will be Missed by Everyone who had the Pleasure of Knowing Him.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
