Robert George Phillips, 85, of Warsaw, IL, departed this life to meet his Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2018 , surrounded by his family at his home in Warsaw, IL.
He was born December 5, 1932, in Warsaw, IL, the son of Truman H. and Evelyn (Knight) Phillips. On June 13, 1956, Robert was united in marriage to the Love and Angel of his life, Shirley A. Mason in Warsaw. She survives.
Robert graduated from Warsaw High School in Warsaw, IL. He was a born again Christian and his greatest joy was to share the love of God. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served his country during the Korean War. His years of employment included Steel Castings, Farming and Cattle, and Garbage Hauling.
He is survived by his four children, Kathy A. (John) Happs of Sutter, Illinois, Roberta L. (Steve) Finton of Quincy, Illinois, Truman H. (Annie) Phillips and Evelyn L. (Dan) Terrell of Warsaw, Illinois; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; siblings: Richard (Lucille) Phillips, Elsie Boyer, Nancy McLaughlin, Patricia (Bill) Mitz and Wilma Emmerson and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brother-in-laws.

A Memorial fund has been established.
A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018. The family will be there from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. at the Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw, Illinois, burial in the Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw, Illinois. Rev. John Happs will officiate the services.
