Robert “Bob” Lee Avery, 56, of Warsaw, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Bob was born on April 27, 1962, in Macomb, Illinois, the son of Robert “Bud” and Brenda Kay (Griffin) Avery. He worked at Steel Castings for many years before going back to school to earn a degree in Industrial Sciences at Southeastern Community College in Keokuk. In his free time, Bob enjoyed going to auctions, where he collected stamps, baseball cards, Budweiser memorabilia, beer steins, coins, vinyl records and many other items.
Bob is survived by two sisters: Patsy (John) Caulkins of Warsaw and Priscilla Avery of Hamilton; six nieces and nephews: Anna (Craig) Batley, Mark Avery, JJ Caulkins, Cody Avery, Buddy Caulkins and Valli Caulkins; his great-niece Jaya Caulkins and his great-nephew Johnny Caulkins. Other survivors include many cousins, family members and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents.
Bob’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 to 11 AM at the funeral home directly before the service.
