Sandra L. Welch

Sandra Welch, 77, of Carthage, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 19, 2018 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Sandra was born April 3, 1941, the daughter of Melvin and Darlene (Smith) Faulkner in Carthage, Illinois.  She graduated from Carthage High School.  On April 30, 1960, she was united in marriage to William J. “Bill” Welch at the First Christian Church in Carthage.  He preceded her in death.  Sandra was a homemaker, enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. Her positive spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Sandra is survived by four sons, Melvin (Stephanie) Welch of Swisher, Iowa, William (Tammy) Welch of Hesperia, California, Michael Welch of Pahrump, Nevada and Marc Welch of Quincy, Illinois: seven grandchildren; her siblings, Marilyn (Ron) Harris, Jan Faulkner, Barbara Jean Faulkner , Jim (Linda) Faulkner, Beverly Kay Faulkner, Linda Black, Donald (Debbie) Faulkner, Pam (Larry) Evans and Bobbie (Arlyn) Hopkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; a daughter-in-law, Pam; and brothers, Richard and Tom “Butch” Faulkner.

Private family graveside services will be held at Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage.  Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
