T.J. Lunt

T.J. Lunt, 45, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at his home in Hamilton.

T.J. was born on July 11, 1973, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Stephen and Connie (Turner) Lunt. On June 13, 2018, he was united in marriage to Leighann Sherrill at the courthouse in Carthage, surrounded by their friends and family. She survives.

A lifelong resident of Hamilton, T.J. graduated from Hamilton High School in 1991. He worked in autobody repair for most of his life and also loved to farm. He was a straightforward man, and what you saw is what you got. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his two daughters. T.J. loved his family dearly.

T.J. is survived by his wife Leighann Lunt of Hamilton; his daughters Atleigh and Emrie Lunt of Hamilton; his father Stephen Lunt of Hamilton; his brother Stacy Lunt of Hamilton; his sister Stephanie (James) Aldridge of Columbia, Missouri; and his mother-in-law Carol (Mark) Zundome of Nauvoo, Illinois. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.

T.J. is preceded in death by his mother Connie and his grandparents Glenn and Lucille Lunt.

T.J.’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 12 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton, with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 am to 12 pm directly before the service.
