Arvilla Martin Obituary Arvilla Faye Collins Martin, 88, passed away on May 22, 2010 at her daughter's home in rural Wever, Iowa, where she had resided for the last two months. She was born in Keokuk, Iowa, on October 26, 1921, the fifth child of Charles Elmar and Clara Irene Flick Collins. She graduated from Keokuk Senior High in 1939. On August 3, 1947 she married Raymond L. Martin. She was employed in the office of the Clerk of District Court from December 1977 until retirement in May 1989. She was a member of the First Christian Church since childhood, having been baptized on November 20, 1932. She is survived by her children, Raymond L. Martin and friend Annie Kay of Keokuk, Iowa, Kevin W. Martin (Cindy) of Montrose, Iowa Rhonda F. Acton of Wever, Iowa Seven grandchildren Ten great grandchildren One brother, Charles E. Collins of Keokuk, Iowa Nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Sylvanus "Beany" Collins, three sisters, Lillian Stahl, Hazel Grogan and Louise McMahan and her son-in-law Russell Acton. Funeral services were Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Hamilton Christian Church, Hamilton, Illinois with Rev. Arron Hughes and Matt Hunt officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Park, Keokuk, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Hamilton First Christian Church or Lee County Hospice, Ft. Madison, Iowa.
