David Brackelsberg Obituary Click Here to View VideoTributes David Eugene Brackelsberg, 44, of Keokuk, died Sunday morning, July 23, 2006 in Fulton, Missouri. Mr. Brackelsberg was born November 9, 1961 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Robert C. and Jean D. Peavler Brackelsberg. He lived in Keokuk most of his life with the exception of several years when he lived in the Oskaloosa and Pella areas. He was a journey pattern maker and was employed by Kahoka Prototype Foundry. He was baptized in St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Keokuk. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, motor sports, family gatherings and children. He is survived by his father, Robert "Bob" Brackelsberg of Keokuk; brothers, Robert D. Brackelsberg and his wife, Kathy, of Keokuk, Terry J. Brackelsberg and his wife, Lori, of Keokuk and Fred Brackelsberg and Barb Kay of Keokuk; sisters, Tina A. Uhlmeyer and her husband, Richard L., of Canton, Missouri and Tami Brackelsberg of Donnellson, Iowa; half sister, Debbie Prysock of Boise, Idaho; a son, Travis Gibson Brackelsberg of Keokuk; special friend, Virginia Sherwood, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and her seven foster children; thirteen foster grandchildren; thirteen nieces & nephews; seven great nieces & great nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Jessie L. Peavler and Dorothy and Robert L. Brackelsberg; an aunt; and cousins. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at DeJong's Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Hunt officiating. Burial followed at Scandinavian Cemetery in rural Keokuk.
