Evelyn Neves Obituary Evelyn Neves, 91, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on May 6, 2015, at Great River Home Health & Hospice in West Burlington, Iowa. Evelyn was born in Downing, Missouri, on October 31, 1923, to Frank and Cleoma Houchens Snowbarger. She married Arthur Neves on July 14, 1956 in Iowa City, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1998. Evelyn was a life-long resident of Keokuk, Iowa. She had worked many years at Decker's Manufacturing in production. She was a member of the New Testament Christian Church and a past member of T.O.P.S. Evelyn is survived by her one daughter, Sheldia (John) Wrieden of Keokuk, Iowa; five grandchildren: Tracy (Ron) Hartis of Keokuk, Iowa; Michelle (Tony) Dye of Canton, Missouri; Scott (Cindy) Hymes of Houston Texas; Jamie (Kristen) Wrieden of Keokuk, Iowa; Rob (Hillary) Hymes of Keokuk, Iowa; seven step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and one daughter-in-law, Cora Hymes, of Keokuk, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Dennis Hymes, and two stepdaughters, Susie Logsdon and Judy Cooper. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 11, 2015, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial will follow at Keokuk National Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 10, 2015, with family meeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street. Memorials may be made to Great River Hospice House.
