Robert Hartrick Obituary Robert 'Bob' Hartrick, 76, passed away Wednesday evening, January 16, at River Hills Village. Bob was born May 20, 1942 to Mr. Elwood (Alec) Hartrick and Ms. Irene Davis in Ft. Madison. He was united in marriage to Ms. Carol Oliver on September 9, 1962 in Keokuk. Bob was a 1960 graduate of Keokuk Senior High School and obtained 1 year of college before serving in the Iowa National Guard. He lived in Keokuk for over 50 years where he owned and operated Hartrick's Lumber until his son took over operation. Bob was a Deacon of First Christian Church in Keokuk. He enjoyed a challenge. Bob encouraged and welcomed economic development, having contributed to this himself by starting and running several businesses in Keokuk. He owned and operated Hartrick's Lumber along with other area lumberyards, Hometown Appliance, Hartrick's Independent Kitchen Center and Box Office Video. Bob enjoyed being with his 'lunch bunch' friends, going to grandchildren's activities, and the times they were able to spend at the Lake of the Ozarks. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carol; a son, Douglas Hartrick (Sherri) of Keokuk; a daughter Shane (Kevin) Boltz of Keokuk; 5 grandchildren, Logan (Danielle) Boltz of Burlington, Lakyn Boltz of Cedar Rapids, IA, Austin (Adria) Hartrick of Des Moines, IA, Alyson Hartrick of Miamisburg, OH, Andrew Hartrick of Keokuk; one brother, James (Debbie) Hartrick of Hamilton, IL, and one sister, Susan (Larry) Custer of Heyworth, IL.; several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation services will be Sunday, January 20, after 2 PM with family greeting friends and loved ones from 5 to 8 pm at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center, 917 Blondeau, Keokuk. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 21, at 11 am at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center, 917 Blondeau, Keokuk, with burial following at Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk.
