Rosemary Dedman Obituary Rosemary Dedman, 91, of Keokuk, Iowa, died, Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 7:16A.M., at River Hills Village in Keokuk, Iowa. Rosemary was born February 27, 1920, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the daughter of Clarence Mathew and Florence LaPointe Heinz. She married Willis Patrick Dedman, Jr. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Keokuk, Iowa, on August 7, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1970. She lived in Keokuk most of her life. She had done clerical work for Union Electric and the railroad, and following her husband's death she worked at Burrows Paper in Ft. Madison, Iowa. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and had been active in church activities and helped with meals at the church. She was a beautiful seamstress and had volunteered for the American Cancer Society driving cancer patients for treatments and at Wells Carey School with reading students. She is survived by four children, Pam Sapp and her husband, Roy, of Keokuk, Sue Niggemeyer and her husband, John, of Omaha, Nebraska, Denise Kay of Keokuk and C.F. Dedman and his wife, Deb, of Appleton, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers-in-law, and three grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 3, 2011, at All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Lathrop officiating. Burial will follow in Keokuk National Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 PM Thursday, June 2, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center on Concert Street with family meeting friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday evening. A Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 Thursday evening. Memorials may be made to All Saints Catholic Church or River Hills Village Garden Court.
