Tanya DeLaney Obituary Tanya Sue DeLaney, age 65, died November 22, 2018 in the presence of family at The Neighborhoods in Columbia, Missouri. She was born on April 3, 1953 in Keokuk, Iowa to Paul and Mary DeLaney. She was a graduate of Keokuk High School. Tanya was a legal secretary and retired from the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego Family Court. She resided in San Diego, California for 25 years, then moved to Columbia, Missouri in 2005 where she has since lived with her sisters, Cynthia DeLaney, Fabiane DeLaney and her mother, Mary DeLaney Koeber. Tanya enjoyed traveling and her favorite vacation place was Maui, Hawaii. She loved spending time with her daughter Maryanne and four granddaughters. She was devoted to family and loved attending monthly family dinners with her mother, aunts, uncles and cousins. An avid baseball fan, she loved the Cardinals and seldom missed a game on TV. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, writing, reading, playing computer games, shopping, and loved the family pets Molly and Teddy. Tanya was well loved by all and maintained close friendships throughout her life. Tanya was preceded in death by her father Paul DeLaney, her brother Paul DeLaney, Jr. and sisters Mildred DeLaney and Paula Ketterer and nieces Becky Pryor and Debbie Ketterer Carroll. She is survived by her mother Mary Koeber, sisters Cynthia DeLaney, Fabiane DeLaney, brother Greg DeLaney, sister in law Ann DeLaney, daughter Maryanne Johnson Gautier (Joshua), her granddaughters Emily Williams, Aubree Martinez (Kurtis), Alexandra Wishart, Hailey Wishart, her nieces Gail Hark, Dawn Ketterer, Deanna James (Jason) and Caitlin Cecchini (Alex), nephews Frank Ketterer, Jr. , John Ketterer, James Polston (Carolyn), Josh Cruz (Rachel), Greg DeLaney and Kevin DeLaney, great nephews Benjamin James, Caleb James, Will James, Josh Cruz Jr., great nieces Alexandra Cruz (Megan), Mia James, Grace Cruz and great great niece Guinevere Cruz. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8th at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center, 1212 Concert Street, Keokuk, Iowa at 11:30 a.m., followed by burial at Oakland Cemetery. A catered luncheon will be served at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 12:45 p.m. for family and close friends.
