W. Laubersheimer Obituary Wilma Louise "Squeak" Laubersheimer, 86, of Keokuk, died Wednesday morning, September 3, 2008, in an automobile accident northwest of Keokuk. Mrs. Laubersheimer was born December 31, 1921, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of George John and Edith Pearl Rein Seabold. She married Robert Charles Laubersheimer on September 14, 1947, in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2008. She was a lifelong resident of Keokuk and graduated from Keokuk High School. She worked as bookkeeper for Linquist Brothers for over 40 years and later for Sears. Louise was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Keokuk. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and cooking Sunday meals for the family and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. She was a devoted sports fan and played softball until she was 40 years old and bowled until she was 50. She was an avid Cubs fan. She loved her friends, her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Robert Laubersheimer and Wayne Laubersheimer and his wife, Donna, of Keokuk; two daughters, Judy Peyton and her husband, Flint, and Jennifer Laubersheimer of Keokuk; five granddaughters, Ashley Hinkle, Kirsten Dowacter, Lindsey Laubersheimer, Shellee Laubersheimer and April Girard; three grandsons, Brent Laubersheimer, Ryan Horner, and Shane Harris; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Wood of Keokuk and Ruth Seabold of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Robert Seabold and his wife, Joyce, of Keokuk; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Horner; two brothers, George and Carl; and three sisters, Dorothy, Martha and Maxine.
