She was a long-time member of Deer Run Golf Course in Hamilton, making two holes-in-one throughout her membership.

Alice Faye Sapp, 86, of Keokuk, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at River Hills Village in Keokuk, Iowa.

Alice was born on June 11, 1940, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Fay and Ruby (Ferguson) Petty. She graduated from Keokuk High School in 1958, and on July 12, 1958, she was united in marriage to Roy Sapp in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2017.

Alice was employed many places throughout her career including Dreasler Photography, and she owned and operated Maria Faye Figure Salon in the early 1970’s. She was a long-time member of Deer Run Golf Course in Hamilton, making two holes-in-one throughout her membership. Alice was a talented seamstress, volunteering her time making costumes for the Little Feathers. A woman of many hobbies, Alice enjoyed square dancing, traveling throughout the United States attending square dancing conventions, making her own costumes. She enjoyed spending her winters in Texas for over twenty years.

Alice is survived by her son Todd (Teresa) Sapp of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; her daughters Kim (Mike) Steinkruger and Dena (KJ) Cannon, both of Keokuk; grandchildren: Jessica (Joe) O'Neil of St. Charles, Missouri; Matthew Sapp of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Lori (Wayne) Osbon of Keokuk; Amber (Andy) Hall of Hamilton, Illinois; Andrew Sapp of Kansas City, Missouri, Emily (Dalton) Bohl of Hamilton, Illinois, David Steinkruger of Ames, Iowa, and Jonathan Steinkruger of Fulton, Missouri; and great-grandchildren: Daniel Sapp, Hayden Sapp, Jason Sapp, Grace and Molly O'Neil; Tres Cannon; Heidi Cannon-Spring, and Brayden, Jackson and Grayson Hall, and Genesis, Jaiden, Austin and Kyson Bohl; her brother Harold Petty of Florida; her sister Kathy (Marty) Matherly of Milan, Illinois. Other survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy, her sister Grace and her stepbrother William Stice.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 12 pm (noon) on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at DeJong-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk, with a procession leaving the funeral home to the cemetery directly following. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Sandusky Cemetery.
