Anthony 'Tony' Cetta Obituary Anthony "Tony" J. Cetta, 74, of Keokuk, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Tony was born on September 29, 1950, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Anthony and Pasqualina (Rapagnani) Cetta. He graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in Keokuk in 1968, and graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in 1972. On July 16, 1992, he was united in marriage to Trudith "Trudy" V. Cetta in Keokuk, Iowa. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2024. Tony was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad for almost forty years, retiring in 2011. He loved his pair of 1967 Novas, chocolate, and animals. He served his community through Toys for Tots and will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to his wife Trudy, and the love and care he showed to everyone around him. Tony is survived by three children: Tony (Becky) Cetta, Gina M. Cetta and Stephanie A. (Manny) Poole, all of North Liberty, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Christopher, Peyton, Andi, Rissa and Mari Cetta, Daja Roberts, and Tavin and Aidric Poole; two step-grandchildren: Bella and Kane Cruz; four sisters: Mary (Gary) Glover, Chris Cetta, Patty Bencivenga and Judy Cetta (Bruce Hennen); and his special cousin Joe Rapagnani. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tony is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Trudy. Tonys life will be celebrated with a visitation from 10 am to 12 pm (Noon) on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk, Iowa. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, February 7, at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. A funeral procession to the graveside will leave the funeral home directly following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.A.W.S. or Toys for Tots.
