Anthony McCarty Obituary Anthony W. "Tony" McCarty, 31 of Keokuk, IA. died Sunday, October 30 2016 at University of Iowa Hospitals. Tony was born January 15, 1985 in Keokuk, Iowa the son of Lonnie McCarty and Terri Clark. A lifelong resident of Keokuk and Hamilton area, Tony was self-employed construction. He followed NASCAR and a huge Hawkeye and Colt Fan. He loved fishing while on the river that was his most peaceful time. Tony loved to sing karaoke. Tony is survived by his two boys: Conner and Brayden McCarty of Montrose, Iowa; his father, Lonnie (Janie) McCarty of Keokuk, Iowa; his mother, Terri (Larry) Vahle of Quincy, Illinois; four brothers: Tyler McCarty and Tim McCarty, Dillan McCarty and Sean McCarty, five sisters: Whitney (Brent) Morgan, Evita Helm both of Quincy, Illinois and Danielle McCarty, Samantha McCarty, Chloe McCarty; all of Keokuk, Iowa; maternal grandmother Sandy Clark, maternal grandfather Dennis (Laury) Clark; maternal grandmother Evelyn McDowell; paternal grandmother Bernice McCarty and maternal great grandmother Betty McDowell, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins. Tony is preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Joseph McCarty, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Charles McCarty; maternal grandfather, Terry McDowell; great grandfather Erinie McDowell; stepfather, Richard Helm and nephew Ethan Morgan. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers at 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk, with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, November 4, 2016 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers 917 Blondeau Street with family meeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Memorials have been established.
