Anthony Washburn Obituary Anthony L. Washburn, 65, of Keokuk, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at 1:20 P.M. at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa. Anthony Washburn was born on January 31, 1937 in Keokuk. He was the son of Martin Leroy and Irene C. Lambert Washburn. He was a lifelong resident of Keokuk and was employed in construction. He received Honorable Discharges from both the United States Army and the Iowa National Guard. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Survivors include two daughters, Angela Flower and her husband, Robert, of Oak Park, Illinois and Debbie Worrell and her husband, Bill; eight sisters, Vivian Mahoney and her husband, Elmer of Keokuk, Sheila Kay and her husband, John, of Keokuk, Kathrine Boltz and her husband, Robert, of Keokuk, Dolores Wadden of Keokuk, Sharon Cockrell of Keokuk, Ilene Robertson of Keokuk, Lucille Solomon of Keokuk, and Shirley Dodge and her husband, Sonny, of Hamilton, Illinois; three brothers, Glenn Washburn and his wife, Jean, of Keokuk, Keith Washburn and his wife, Diane, of Keokuk, and Pat Washburn and his wife, Sandra, of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth Ginnaris; and three brothers, John Washburn, Carl Washburn, and one in infancy. Services were Friday, January 31, 2003 at All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk with Reverend Christopher David officiating. Burial was in Keokuk National Cemetery with full military rites. Memorials may be made to All Saints Catholic Church.
