Arthur Joe Herriman, 90, of Dallas City, IL, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at SE Iowa Regional Hospital in Burlington, IA.

Joe was born on October 21, 1935, in Peoria, IL to Edwin and Lucille (Thompson) Herriman. He attended school in Chillicothe, IL. Joe was an airplane mechanic in the US Air Force from 1952-1956. He then attended barber college in Chicago, IL and worked as a barber for many years. Joe also spent time as a fireman, reserve officer, and a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, watching Nascar, and woodworking.

Joe is survived by his sons, Bill Blake of Arizona, Jeff (Christy) Herriman of Carthage, Don (Stephanie) Herriman of Dallas City, Chris (Jenny) Herriman of Dallas City, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren, his siblings, Joan Newberry, Steve Herriman, Mary Huss, and Sharon Herriman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Scott Herriman, an infant son Ronnie, a granddaughter, as well as several brothers and sisters.

Cremation has been entrusted to Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
