Beth Redenius Obituary Beth Elaine Redenius, 64, of Bentley, passed away at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Montebello Care Center in Hamilton. Beth was born December 12, 1953, the daughter of Orland and Patricia (Metternich) Redenius in Carthage, Illinois. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1972. She later received her Bachelor's Degree from Western Illinois University. Among other things, Beth worked for the Deer Creek and Carthage School systems for many years. Beth loved animals, especially her horses and "Amigo" in particular. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing in the choir there and other places. She also enjoyed knitting, always making special gifts for others. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them. Beth is survived by her companion of 20 years, Jerry Wheaton of Bentley; her son, Doug Ballard of Carthage; five siblings, Janice Isaacs of Decatur, Theresa Markey of Carthage, Diane De Jaynes of Pace, Florida, Andrew (Terry) Redenius of Carthage and Susan Robinson of Carthage; a brother-in-law, John Schreacke of Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Peggy Schreacke. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until time of services at 7:00 at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
