Betty Hastings Obituary Betty G. Hastings, 93, of Keokuk, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at River Hills Village in Keokuk, Iowa. Betty was born on January 2, 1931, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Orene Dickson Ealey and step-father Harry Ealey. On March 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to Matthew J. Hastings in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2009. She graduated from Keokuk Public School and worked at Kresge, Drydens, and the Huiskamp Shoe Factory. Betty is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Matthew, her mother, her step-father, her step-brothers Harry L. and Charles Ealey, her step-sister Maxine Cooper and her grandparents. A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Keokuk Humane Society, the American Diabetes Association or the donors choice.
