Billy Joe Gibson Obituary Billy Joe Gibson, 63, of Nauvoo, passed away at his home October 22, 2023. Billy Joe was born May 12, 1960, the son of Charles Edward and Shirley Fay (Fletcher) Gibson in Glasgow, Kentucky. On August 8, 1983, he was united in marriage to Rachel Ann (Pilkington) Gibson in Fort Riley, Kansas. Billy Joe served in the U.S. Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1986. Billy Joe was an amazing truck driver for 25 years. He was also an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Billy Joe developed a love of growing flowers, particularly roses and cannas to make his house look like a home. Billy Joe is survived by his wife, Rachel Ann (Pilkington) Gibson, of Nauvoo; his daughter, Kiri Rachel (Gibson) Gray, and son-in-law Garrett Stephen Gray of Lewistown, Missouri; his mother, Shirley Fay (Fletcher) Gibson of Breeding, Kentucky; and sister, Charolette (Gibson) McIntyre of Breeding, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Joseph Gibson; his father, Charles (Soap) Gibson; and a brother, Randell Keith Gibson. Visitation will be held at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, October 26, 2023. Services to follow at 7:00 PM. A second service will be held Sunday October 29, 2023, at 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Norris-New Funeral home in Burkesville, Kentucky.
