Carla French Obituary Carla Jo French, 61, of Keokuk, passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics early Wednesday morning, May 22, 2019, surrounded by family and loved ones. Carla was the daughter of Leonard L. and Maxine Seabold French. She was born on March 3, 1958, in Keokuk. Carla was a lifelong resident of Keokuk. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Carla also attended the Bridgeway and Optimae program where she performed light laborious jobs. Carla is survived by 2 sisters, Nancy Meinhardt and Pam (Charles) Baxter, both of Keokuk; Nieces and Nephews, Tammy Morgan, Clint (Carrie) Harness, Jeff (Heidi) Harness, Larry G. (Alessa) French and Gina French; Great Nieces and Nephews, Kaylie Lawson, Luke Harness, Adam, Andrew and Amelia Harness. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lynn French; one brother, Larry French; brother-in-law, Mark Meinhardt and other relatives. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, May 28, 2019, 5 to 7 pm at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers. Celebration of Carla's life will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk, IA. Carla will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park after the service. Memorials may be made to the family and will be used for clients of Optimae.
