Crystal Hansard Obituary Crystal Dawn Hansard, 35, of Keokuk, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at her residence. Crystal was born on August 30, 1986, in Brandon, Florida, the daughter of Craig Mortimer and Tammy (Hansard) Russell. She was employed most recently at Hy-Vee and attended church at The Crossing in Keokuk. She attended AA and lived at the Lydia House. In her free time, Crystal enjoyed listening to music, coloring and spending time with her son. She loved the outdoors and rock hunting and spending time with her family and loved spending time with her mother to keep the family together. Crystal is survived by her parents: Tammy (Harold) Russell of Keokuk and Craig Mortimer of Keokuk; her son Joshua Tayloe of Davenport, Iowa; her brother Shawn Hansard of Keokuk; two sisters: Heather (Corey) Howes of Keokuk and Elizabeth (Boyfriend Colin Squier) Mortimer; her grandmothers Anna Russell and Lizzie Mortimer; and several half-siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. Crystal is preceded in death by five grandparents: Tom and Sharon Clawson, Maury and Katherine Mortimer, and Harry Russell. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 17, 2022, at The Crossing in Keokuk. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Tammy Russell.
