Cynthia 'Cindy' Picton Obituary Cynthia "Cindy" Marie Picton, 63, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at her home in Keokuk. Cindy was born on January 4, 1960, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of William and Anne (Sampson) Carter. She graduated from Keokuk High School in 1978, and on July 3, 1986, she was united in marriage to Garold Ray Picton in Keokuk. He survives. Cindy worked at Keokuk Area Hospital for eighteen years, but her family was her world. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother a person could ask for, and spoiled her grandchildren endlessly. She was known for being outgoing and outspoken, but always stayed humble. Cindy knew everyone, and even if she didnt, she acted like she did. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and phone games and watching her soap operas. Cindy is survived by her husband Garold Picton of Keokuk; two daughters: Justina (Tim) Goncales of Chicago, Illinois, and Amanda Picton of Keokuk; her son David (Cara) Picton of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her brother Ray (Annette) Carter of Colorado; her sister Judy (Chuck) Spoores of Keokuk; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: David Picton of Keokuk, Robert (Cindy) Picton of Keokuk, Teresa (Todd) Sapp of Florida; and eight grandchildren: Matthew Picton, Kiria Pezley, Kadence Pezley, Jacob Goncales, Aurora Piersee, Logan Piersee, Holden Picton and Autzen Picton. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents. Cindys life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 12 pm (Noon) on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Keokuk. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 am to 12 pm (noon) directly before the service. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Garold Picton for expenses.
