Dalton Levi Sherman, 29, of Peoria, formerly of Carthage, passed away Wednesday evening, December 24, 2025, in Hamilton, Illinois.

Dalton was born on March 27th, 1996, in Carthage, Illinois. He attended Warsaw High School graduating in 2014. He then went on to receive his electrical training from several colleges and his specialized training in Peoria. He was a union electrician for Local 34 in Peoria. Dalton enjoyed fishing, sports cars and weightlifting. He was also an avid gamer and enjoyed riding his dirt bike. Dalton was an extremely hard and dedicated worker that loved his family fiercely. He was a loving son, brother and grandson that will be missed.

Dalton is survived by his parents, Erica and Andy Lafeber of Carthage; his sister, Haley Horton of Hamilton; brother, Devin Lafeber of Carthage; his father, Kerry Sherman; grandparents, Walter and Naomi Horton and Jack and Bonnie Lafeber; a special uncle, Eric Horton; also, uncle Tim and Aunt Mardi; his dog, Sparky and cat, Boots.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Dan and Helen Mahair; and an uncle, Charles "Chuck" Motley.

Private funeral services will be held at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage.
