Dennis Eugene Whitmer, 76, of Hamilton, passed away at 5:39 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Post Acute Care Center in Macomb.

Dennis was born January 20, 1950, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of John Walter and Helen Marilyn (Keller) Whitmer. He graduated from Mt. Zion High School and served a short time in the U.S. Army. Dennis was a kind and generous man. He had worked as a custodian for several businesses over the years.

Dennis is survived by his siblings, Carla Jean Walker of Hamilton, Robert O. (Vicki) Whitmer II of Mt. Zion, and Kevin Whitmer of Long Creek, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Wanita Turley.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton.
