Donald Day Obituary Donald A. Day, Sr., 66, of Carthage, passed away at 8:45 P.M. Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Donald was born December 16, 1947, the son of William and Shirley (Lonis) Day, Sr. in Galesburg, Illinois. On February 18, 1967, he was united in marriage to Emma Mustain in Carthage. She survives. Donald enjoyed taking his boat out on the river, fishing, camping, and boating. He liked to enter and attend area car shows and also riding his Harley. He was an avid picture taker. Donald is survived by his wife, Emma, of Carthage; four children, Tammie (John) Sinibaldi of Carthage, Donald A. (Regina Russell) Day, Jr. of Carthage, Lonnie (Brenda) Day of Carthage, and Jamie (Erin) Day of Bowen; grandchildren, Britany (Nathan) Stanberry, Andrew (Je Anne) Nelson, Kade Nelson, Kraig Day, Allen Day, Nicole (T.J.) Stevenson, Haylie Day, Damon Day, Michael Day, Emmalee Day, Joe Bolander, Margo Russell and Alexis Russell; seven great grandchildren, Jaryn Bolander, Linkin Dodds, Addalyn Stanberry, Decklan Stanberry, Emmeren Stanberry, Aubrie Maynard and Ashton Stevenson; a sister, Susan (Dan) Griffith of Galesburg and William (Connie) Day, Jr. of Galesburg; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Jean Williamson. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until time of services at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
