Dorothy Ogren Obituary Dorothy Ogren, 86, of Burnside, passed away at 9:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Heritage Manor in Normal, Illinois. Dorothy was born June 22, 1927, the daughter of John C. and Bertie (Arnold) Higbee in Rock Creek Township, Hancock County, Illinois. She graduated from Colusa High School in 1944. On July 14, 1945, she was united in marriage to William George Ogren in Hamilton, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1997. Dorothy loved helping her husband farm and caring for her garden and flowers. She had also worked at the Sheaffer Pen Company in Ft. Madison for over 10 years. Dorothy was a member of the Burnside Christian Church. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Paulette (John) Vourvas of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; a granddaughter, Andrea (Andy) Hinegardner of Bloomington, Illinois; and great grandchildren, Nathan and Alecia Hinegardner. She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 11, 2013, at Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Memorials may be made to the Burnside Christian Church or the Heritage Manor Legacy Unit in Normal, Illinois. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
