Douglas Jackson Obituary Douglas Ray Jackson, 62, of Carthage, Illinois, passed away at 3:35 am on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Countryview Care Center in Macomb, Illinois. Douglas or 'Bull' as he was known best, was born April 28, 1960 in Ft Benning, Georgia, the son of Raymond and Lela Jackson. On April 20, 2021, he married Cheryl Ann (Washburn) Ayris. Bull enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, fishing, drawing, Sudoku, and listening to Country and Rock music. He worked at various mechanic and construction jobs throughout his life. Bull is survived by his wife, children: Sara Jackson and Douglas Jackson, Jr; step children: Laura and Gregory Ayris. He is also survived by his sister, Janell Rust, and brother, Terry Carpenter, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Daniel, brothers: Scott Jackson, James and Keith Carpenter, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Printy Funeral Home in Carthage, IL on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expenses.
