Douglas 'Doug' Summers Obituary Douglas "Doug" Kent Summers, 64, of Keokuk, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Doug was born on January 25, 1959, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Robert R. and Judith Lynn (Buss) Summers. He was a carpenter employed by Homebuilders for many years, and enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles and his family plants, some of which were over fifty years old. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing basketball. Doug is survived by two sons: Tyson (Amy) Summers of Omaha, Nebraska, and Tyler Summers of Burlington, Iowa; two brothers: Robert "Craig" Summers and Daniel Summers, both of Keokuk; his sister Joni (Brendan) Kyung of San Francisco, California; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Doug is preceded in death by his parents. No services will be held at this time.
