Earlene Barnes Obituary Helen "Earlene" Barnes, 77, of Keokuk, died at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, February 13, 2005 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born July 18, 1927 in Madrid, Iowa, the daughter of Carl Oscar Harry Samuelson and Nettie Mae Williams Samuelson. She married Dallas E. Barnes on September 12, 1946 in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1998. She had lived in Keokuk since 1946. She worked as a welder during World War II then as a clerk in small corner grocery stores. During the 1950's, she attended beauty school and then worked with her mother at Wise Beauty Shop. In her early life she was a member of the Women's National Bowling Association and took part in several bowling leagues and participated in national bowling tournaments. She was a member of New Testament Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting made many things for her kids. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and later with her sister. Her family was everything to her. She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Rader and her husband, Edwin, of Keokuk; a son, Gary Barnes of Keokuk; ten grandchildren, Tracy Etter and her husband, Shane, of Keokuk, Dale Rader and his wife, Christina of Dubuque, Iowa, Adam Rader and Bret Rader of Iowa City, Iowa, Gina Parrish and her husband, Craig, of Keokuk, Erin Barnes of Oak Park, Illinois, Jason Barnes and his wife, Heather, of Keokuk, Kara Barnes of Oak Park, Illinois, Jordan Barnes and his fianc Services You can still show your support by sending flowers directly to the family, or by planting a memorial tree in the memory of Earlene Barnes Plant a tree in memory of Earlene
