Esther Finton Obituary Esther Lee Finton, 82, of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Montebello Health Care Center in Hamilton, Illinois. Esther was born on September 26, 1935, in Warsaw, Illinois, the daughter of John and Mabel Egley Schafer. On December 31, 1953, she was united in marriage to Daniel Finton in Warsaw. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2017. A lifelong resident of Warsaw, Esther was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw. She graduated from Carthage College with her bachelor's degree and went on to teach elementary school until her retirement. Esther is survived by her daughter Deborah (Mike) McLaughlin of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her daughter-in-law Margaret (Craig) Finton of Warsaw; two sisters: Dorothy (Robert) Kunz of Quincy, Illinois; and Doris (Charles) Stoneking of Warsaw; four grandchildren: Erin (Jason) Anderson, Zach McLaughlin, Christina (Billie) Bavery and Robert (Jessie) Frank; three great-grandchildren: Cooper Anderson, Katherine Bavery and Madeline Bavery; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Esther is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel, her son Craig and her sister Evelyn Drain. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw, with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 pm on Saturday at the funeral home, directly before the service. Memorials may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw.
