Esther Kleopfer Obituary Esther Louise Kleopfer, 94, of Carthage, passed away at 7:00 PM, Monday, March 24, 2025, at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. Esther was born November 12, 1930, in St. Louis, MO. On June 5, 1949, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Suter Kleopfer. He preceded her in death in 1988. Esther was a lifelong caregiver, starting in Dr. Couers office and later receiving her LPN. She then continued her work at the Hancock County Nursing Home for many years. In 1998 she started caring for people in her home, a job she enjoyed and continued for many years until her retirement. Her lifelong love of caregiving was an outgrowth of her faith in Christ, which was the center point of her life. She was a faithful member of the Burnside Christian Church for many years. Esther is survived by her son, Steven (Donna) Kleopfer of Carthage; granddaughters, Sara (Kory) King, Sandra Kleopfer and Samantha (Erie) Sparks; and great grandchildren, Aubrey, Jackson, Ashton, Stephen, Gracyn, Bentley, Jason and Willow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; and her mother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 28, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with burial to follow in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Burnside Christian Church or donor's choice.
