Frances Hederich Obituary Frances Jane Hederich, 95, of Keokuk, Iowa, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Keokuk Area Hospital.
Frances was born on August 17, 1916, in Raymond, Illinois, to William Richard and Winifred Jones Goby. She attended the University of Illinois. She married Alfred H. Hederich on August 17, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1995.
Frances had lived in Keokuk since 1946 and from 1951 to 1968 was employed by Hoerner Boxes, Inc. She was a bank officer at State Central Bank and had worked there from 1947 to 1951 and from 1968 until recently. She was a member of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church and was a friend of the First Lutheran Church. Frances was also a member of the Friendship Circle of the King's Daughters and of the Keokuk Benevolent Union Home. In 1973 she helped in organizing the Lee County Health Scholarship Fund to which she also served as treasurer.
Survivors include nephews, Larry Goby, Dr. Gary Goby, Dale Goby, Terry Goby, Dr. James Harms, John Harms, and Joe Harms II; nieces, Jane Ethen, Judy Weitekamp, and Jayneece Bostwick. She is also survived by many good friends, Colleen Brosi, Paul and Donell Rule, Byron and Patricia Klapprott, and Don and Judy Miller.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister, a niece, and a nephew.
