Frances Mullikin Obituary Frances E. Mullikin, 88, of Keokuk, died at 4:59 PM Thursday, June 06, 2002, at River Hills of Keokuk. She was born September 1, 1913, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Fredrick and Polly Oerter. She married John "Jack" Mullikin on July 11, 1936, in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1998. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flower arranging, and fishing. She made Miss Beasley dolls and sat with people in their homes. She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Irvine of Quincy, Illinois; two grandchildren, Shawn O'Connor of Chicago Ridge, Illinois and Christian Younggren of Moline, Illinois; two great-grandchildren, William O'Connor and Lindsey O'Connor of Chicago Ridge, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, William "Bill" Mullikin; three sisters and a brother. A gathering of friends and family was held Saturday, June 15, 2002, in the chapel at River Hills Village in Keokuk. A private inurnment was held in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk with Rev. Preston Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to River Hills Village.
