Gary Leffler Obituary Gary Daniel Danny Leffler, 57, of Sutter, IL, passed away, Saturday July 20th, at home. Danny was born on May 27, 1967, the son of Connie Harnetiaux and Gary Leffler. He attended Warsaw High School and went on to graduate from Kirkwood Community College and received his certificate in welding. On November 22, 2022, he was united in marriage to Diamond Bence in Hancock County, Illinois. She survives. Danny was employed at Central Stone and before that a longtime employee of Steel Castings. He enjoyed playing football and pitching on his summer softball team. He also enjoyed riding his horse, Champ. As an adult he enjoyed playing 31 and poker. Danny was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. He also enjoyed coyote hunting with his daughter and friends. Danny was known for his wandering eyes during card games and his competitive spirit during NFL football games. He also enjoyed watching politics and could talk on the phone for hours, but his biggest enjoyment was being with his daughter and watching her race 4-wheelers and play sports. He was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. He was a member of The Crossing in Keokuk and enjoyed writing letters to the 700 Club. Danny is survived by his daughter Anna; his wife, Diamond Bence of Quincy; stepchildren, Austin Bence, Kamryn Logsdon and Blayze Bence; his sisters, Pam Leffler of Quincy and Gayla (Matt) McMillen of Hamilton; nieces, Megan (Roger) Clark of Charleston, IL, Lacey (Peter) Dumas of Tucson, AZ, Haley (Casey) McMillan of Henderson, NV, and Laikyn McClelland of Quincy; a great nephews, Cayden and Tyson, and a great niece, Wade; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Danny was preceded in death by his mother and father, both grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until the time of services at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Printy Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
