Gary Rampley Obituary It is with our deepest sadness we share the passing of our father Gary Rampley, 66, of Carthage, Illinois. He died November 28, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy Illinois. Gary is survived by his daughter Amy Cook, born to Brenda Dean, Amy's husband Donnie, their 4 sons Brandon, Christopher, Eric, James, and 2 great grandchildren, Alayna and Maverick. His daughter McKenzie Doremus born to Connie Wear, McKenzie's husband Ryan and their two sons Cadence and Maddox. His sister Carol (Harold) Shumaker of Springfield IL and longtime companion Tina Blaise of Keokuk IA. He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Marguerite Rampley of Denver IL. Gary was born May 3, 1957, in Chicago IL to Bill and Marguerite Rampley. He worked for his dad as a plumber at Rampley Service, Thermal Gas, and started his own business thereafter. Gary was a devoted father, and grandfather. His family was his pride and joy. The other love of his life was his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He loved riding his bikes on any day the sun was shining. He was always good for a joke and just a good-hearted man. He also loved his kitties Sissy and Nova. We will be having a celebration of life party in the spring for him. Anyone who knows him knows he would much rather we have a party than a funeral.
