George Hinton Obituary George Frederick Hinton, 74, of Keokuk, passed away at 11:45 PM on Monday, March 14, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. George was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on February 14, 1942, the son of Charles and Melba Nagel Hinton. On November 3, 1962, he was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Przygoda in St. Louis. She survives. A resident of Keokuk since 1975, George was employed as a manager at Bearing Headquarters and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. One of his favorite pastimes was reading books. George is survived by his wife Barbara of Keokuk; his daughter Cindy (Dennis) Freeman of Keokuk; his son David (Chris) Hinton of Keokuk; three grandchildren: Mitchell Freeman, Cole Hinton, and Anna Hinton all of Keokuk; his brother Larry (Linda) Hinton of St. Louis, Missouri; Larry's children: Keith (Jennifer) Hinton and Dawn (John) Vance; and their children. Other survivors include many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. George is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dennis Hinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, with Reverend Robert Lathrop officiating. A private family burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery on Monday. Visitation will be held at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 1212 Concert Street on Saturday from 11-12 PM directly before the service.
