Jenny Johnson Obituary Jenny Rose Johnson, 73, of Denver, Illinois, passed away on December 3rd, 2023, at 12:43 am at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Jenny was loved by her family and friends and that love she returned tenfold. Jenny Rose Johnson was born in Carthage, Illinois on August 14th, 1950, to Dale and Gertie Ruffcorn. She was a graduate of Carthage high-school. She wed Robert Earl Johnson on September 1st, 1972, in Carthage, Illinois. Jenny worked on the parts line for 40 plus years as a production line worker until her retirement from Methode Electronics in Carthage, Illinois. She also was a Rural Delivery Driver for the Quincy Herald Whig for 15 plus years. Jenny's union to Robert culminated in the birth of two daughters Nicole Ann Johnson of Elvaston, Illinois and Christina Eloyse Thele (Richard) of Fort Madison, Iowa. Nine grandchildren; Kayle Johnson (Ryan Geissler), Alexis (Chace) Shaffer, Coltan (Madison) Hornung, Joshua (Dacia) Thele, Chase Rogers, Reece Thele, Alex Thele, Ben Thele, and Marcus Thele. Eight great grandchildren and one on the way; Kaysen Johnson, Jamie and Kenzey Geissler, Westin and Hadley Shaffer, Remington and Brantley Hornung, and Torrin Thele. She is also survived by her husband, Robert Earl Johnson; her brothers Bert Ruffcorn of Carthage, Illinois, and Don Garret of Chariton, Iowa; her sisters, Viola Ruffcorn (Jason Knowles) of Agency, Iowa, Brenda Northway of Laharpe, Illinois, and Janet Johnson of Hamilton, Illinois. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, William Clyde a brother in infancy, and one sister Denise Husted of Springfield Missouri A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with burial to follow at West Point Cemetery in West Point, Illinois. A visitation will be held at the funeral home the night before from 4 - 7 pm. A funeral fund has been established. Printy Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
