Johanna Morris Obituary Johanna Elizabeth Morris 90, of Keokuk died Monday, January 5, 2004 at 11:30 A.M. at Keokuk Area Hospital. She was born August 24, 1913 in Wayland, Missouri the daughter of Otto and Mary Elizabeth Grimes Dommerman. She had lived in the Keokuk-Alexandria area all her life. She had worked for several years in the Lee County Treasurer's Office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the women's organizations, including the ladies sewing group that sewed rag rugs. She belonged to the Royal Neighbors, and had been a member of Kings Daughters. She is survived by two daughters: Betty Carroll and her husband Bill of Keokuk, Iowa and Dianna Dawson of Burlington, Iowa; two sons, William Johnson and his wife Freda of Hamilton, Illinois and Donald Johnson and his wife Joanna of Keokuk; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one grandson, and a nephew. Funeral services were held Thursday January 8, 2003 at De Jong's Funeral Home, Reverend Dale Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Frazee Cemetery in rural Wayland, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
