John Guy Obituary John Alan Guy, 81, of Keokuk, passed away on September 5, 2015, at River Hills Village in Keokuk. John was born on August 4, 1934, in Keokuk, the son of Wilson and Zola Boltz Guy. On May 27, 1964, he was united in marriage to Norma Tripp in Keokuk. She survives. A life-long resident of Keokuk, John was a member of Bel Air Baptist Church in Keokuk and served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a truck driver for over thirty-five years, and enjoyed watching Cardinal baseball and solving crossword puzzles in his free time. John loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world. John is survived by his wife Norma of Keokuk; his sons Ray (Janne) Long of Keokuk and Rod (Robin) Egley of Warsaw; nine grandchildren: Christopher, Steven, Ryals, Kenny, Paige, Mason, Jeremy, Nathan and Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren: Evan, Jazmin, Olivia, Abby, Tallen, Billy, Alex and Nya. Other survivors include his brothers Wilson (Rose) Guy and Robert (Raylene) Guy, and several nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his brother Larry Craig Guy, his sister Dr. Sally Guy, and a very special niece Karen Nagel. Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Bel Air Baptist Church in Keokuk. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday directly before the service. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Keokuk. Memorials may be made to the Jackson Township Fire Department or the Bel Air Baptist Church Food Pantry. Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M.
